🧭 Trip Sessions
Upload a TripSpark route manifest (PDF) — the backend extracts each rider’s exact AM pickup → arrival → departure → PM drop-off.
🔐 Access & Accounts
Give each staff member their own login. When someone leaves, tap Revoke — they're logged out instantly and can't sign back in. No need to change anyone else's code.
Auto-creates an account for every driver + staff (emails = first-initial+lastname@sec-transport.org), roles assigned, each with a PIN. Use 📧 Email PIN on any person to send/regenerate their PIN.

✅ Today — mark attendance
Tap each rider as you complete the stop. Round Trip = rode both ways · One Way = one leg · No Show · Cancel · Absent. Saves instantly and feeds the monthly report.
🛰 GPS auto-arrival
When the van reaches a rider's stop, it pops up here — tap Boarded or No-Show once, GPS-timestamped. Each boarding adds a leg (One Way → Round Trip). Runs in demo mode until the Samsara address scope + geocoded stops are added, then it flips to live automatically.
Pick your route and date, then Load.
📋 Monthly Attendance
Attendance codes: 0 Absent · 1 One Way · 2 Round Trip · NS No Show · C Cancellation · X Vendor Cancellation.
Edit mode on — set any rider's code for any day (e.g. a driver forgot to enter it). Changes save instantly and feed billing + no-show detection.

⛽ Gas log & fuel expenses
Every fill with payment method (petty cash / credit card), amounts, change, and receipt status.
Receipts auto-file to accounting. When a driver submits a gas receipt, the app drops a correctly-named copy into the folder your SEC Financial Operations (FOS) app watches — credit-card fills to the Citi 9155 intake, petty-cash fills to the Gas Receipts pool — and FOS files + reconciles them against the bank feed automatically. The summary CSV above (owners only) is a cash-vs-credit totals report for your own records — FOS derives the actual expense from the bank statement, so there’s nothing to import by hand.
📊 Fuel usage — per day, by vehicle
Miles driven per van per day (from Samsara odometer snapshots) plus gas $ filled that day. Batch report for one van or all vehicles.
Pick a month above and click View.

✏️ Custom checklist — add / remove items live
The checklist is adjustable: “Condensed (15)” is the recommended day-to-day list; “Full” is the complete CHP pre-trip; “From Samsara” pulls whatever inspection template you configure in Samsara so the app and Samsara stay one-and-the-same. Auto-file receipts drops each gas receipt (correctly named) into the folder your SEC Financial Operations app watches — credit-card fills to the Citi 9155 intake, petty-cash fills to the Gas Receipts pool — so it reconciles them automatically.
🔐 Access levels — by role
Grant or revoke features per role. (Billing stays owner-only; rider/driver PII stays supervisor+.) Dispatchers get driver access plus gas + reports by default — change anything here anytime.

Fuel Level Check
Required before pulling out. Read the fuel gauge on the van dashboard and select the matching level. This locks into the inspection — you can't submit inspection if the tank is below ¼ without confirming you have a gas card or cash to refuel.

auto-import — populate the board from a file
Drop a Route Detail or TSR spreadsheet (.xlsx). The app reads its columns; you map each one to a board field, preview, then push to the board. No retyping vans.
map your columns → board fields
No shift column? Leave it on "— none —" and rows default to AM,PM. Per the contract (§3.11), once your Route Detail file is mapped I can compute Vehicle Service Hours = first pickup → last drop-off, exclude deadhead, count mid-route gaps under 61 min and drop gaps of 61 min or more — then assign the shift block and feed actual hours straight to Billing.

Driver Schedule
Every driver is scheduled for exactly 8 paid hours per day — 6 hrs required work (AM + paid standby + PM) plus 2 hrs discretionary. All times derive from rider manifests (TSRs). Edit any field below and the schedule recomputes.

🔄 Auto-rotate schedule
Generates a fair rotation: van-specific tasks go to that van's driver; shared tasks rotate weekly so no one repeats. Each driver's day is capped at 6h optimal / 8h max (route driving counts) — overtime is flagged. Days a route doesn't run are marked for time-off-or-tasks review.
Weekly Task Assignment
Assign tasks from the library to drivers on specific days. Tasks fill discretionary gaps, post-shift windows, or early-return windows. Late-route tasks auto-route per category: Compliance/Maintenance/Operations/Training → flag for admin · Cleaning/Admin → roll forward.

Attendance & Auto-Billing
Track each rider's AM and PM attendance separately for the operational record. Billing still rolls up to one day per §11.3.4: $800 per route per day the route ran (regardless of partial attendance), plus $120 per billable 1:1 attendant per day the attended rider rode in either leg.

Program Closure Calendar
Track day-program closures (holidays, in-services, weather days). When a program is closed, riders going to that program don't ride — the route either doesn't run or runs partial. Upload a program calendar to populate dates automatically; click any day to mark/unmark manually.
Tip: click a day cell to open the closure picker. Multiple programs can be closed on the same day. Weekends are dimmed by default (no scheduled service).

samsara bridge · telematics + auto-populated ops
Integration layer between sec-fleet-ops and Samsara. Today: CSV bridge + mock-mode simulator (works offline, lets you see live-integration UX without an account). Tomorrow: paste API credentials and flip to live mode — same UI, real data.
⚡ connection · samsara api
— initializing —
Live mode requires a backend proxy you deploy (Node.js, runs on Replit/Render). Frontend never talks to Samsara directly — security model is sound.
Mock mode generates realistic Samsara-style data for today's date. The other Bridge modules below will read from this simulated feed automatically — letting you test the integrated UX before activating your Samsara account.
① export routes → csv
Generates a CSV file containing every rider as a stop, grouped by route. Upload to Samsara Fleet → Routing → Import, or use the Samsara Routing API. (Or in live mode, use the Samsara Routing API.)
② import samsara trip data → attendance
Upload a Samsara stats export (CSV) for a service date — OR pull live from the API in live mode / from the simulator in mock mode. Reads geofence arrival/departure events, pre-populates attendance.
🛰 live fleet · samsara real-time
Every van's live position, fuel, engine state, and odometer. Polls the Samsara stats endpoint every 30 seconds when Live Fleet is toggled ON. Read-only.
Click Refresh once to pull current positions, or Start live feed for continuous 30-sec updates.
③ §3.11 hours reconciler · billed vs. gps
Compares billed Vehicle Service Hours (from posted billing rows) against actual GPS first-pickup-to-last-dropoff timestamps from Samsara. Flags discrepancies for review. Catches both under-billing (lost revenue) and over-billing (audit risk).
④ live feed · current fleet state (mock or live)
When mock mode is active, shows simulated GPS positions, fuel levels, and fault codes per van. When live mode is active and your backend is connected, shows real data polled every 60 seconds.

🛠 backend deployment · live mode prerequisites
Live mode requires a Node.js backend deployed on Replit/Render/Vercel. The backend stores your Samsara API token securely, proxies all requests, and receives Samsara webhooks. A ready-to-deploy version is delivered alongside this file (sec-backend/server.js).
Deployment steps:
Provision Samsara account, get API token from cloud.samsara.com → Settings → API Tokens
Create a new Replit project, paste sec-backend/server.js
Set Replit Secrets: SAMSARA_API_TOKEN, API_KEY_SEC=DGE_TOKEN (any random string)
Click Run, copy the public URL
Return here → Connection panel → Live mode → paste backend URL + auth token → Test connection
(Optional) In Samsara Dashboard → Settings → Webhooks, register webhook URL: {backend}/webhook for real-time push
